Our Purpose

People of color are highly underrepresented in Science and Technology fields. This underrepresentation is equally existent, and therefore reflective, in STEM majors at higher educational institutions. Our belief is that stereotype threats, stigmas, and lack of awareness are the main causes leading up to the current issue.

Our mission is to actively engage the students from underrepresented backgrounds, people of color and women, into both STEM majors, and Science and Technology work fields. Our plan to carry out our mission is to proactively promote STEM majors amongst high school students, and to organize events that will create exposure to the Science and Technology fields for college students. We believe it is crucial to establish proof of evidence that underrepresented students have the capability to succeed in both areas while laying out a pathway, supported by proper guidance, that leads them towards success.

Our Main Objectives Are:
  • Instillation Of Confidence In The Ability To Succeed In STEM.
  • Expose Students To The Opportunities That Exist Within The Field
  • Establish Awareness Across Our Own Community
  • Provide Resources To Our Members To Increase Their Level Of Success
